 Raised in a single father household, Nickeia Slyve ,also known as "Nicky", learned at an early age to take care of her and her sister's hair. She knew early that doing hair as something she loved. Although she knew she loved doing hair, she took many other paths before she became a professional hairstylist.

At the age of 17 she joined the United States Navy. She served her country for 8 years then decided to get out and focus on her family. With hair still one of her main focuses, she decided to attend Blue Cliff College where she obtained her cosmetology license. 

Getting her start at JC Penny perfected her craft at making everyone feel beautiful when they left her chair. In 2016, after working in other salons for close to 4 years she took a leap of faith and opened up her very own salon called The Beyouty Bar.

Being exposed to so many different hair types and textures. she not only wanted to make her clients look and feel beautiful. She also wanted to focus on the health of their hair inside of the salon as well as when they went home.  With so many products out promising to take care of "natural hair" she couldn't find any that took care of all texture hair. She decided to create her own product line. In 2019, she introduced to the world Crown Beyouty Hair Care Products.
